Lee Seung-hyun (Hangul: 이승현; born December 12, 1990), known by his stage name
Big Bang Seungri or V. I. (Hangul: 승리; lit. victory), is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, model, record producer and composer, who is best known as a member of popular South Korean boy group Big Bang. Before joining the group, he was a member and leader of a dance team in Gwangju He first appeared on television on the reality television series Let's Cokeplay: M.Net Battle Shinhwa, a show in which Shinhwa attempted to create a boy band that could be a "second Shinhwa".

•When he was young he had participated in several dance competitions. He competed against his fellow member Taeyang as well as Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, TVXQ‘s Yunho, and SHINee‘s Taemin.
•Some musicians that he admires are Justin Timberlake, and Omarion.
•Before becoming a YG Trainee he entered the “Battle Shinhwa“ program. He was eliminated in the show but was later recruited byYG as a trainee.
•Seungri was originally eliminated from BIGBANG. But because he didn‘t want to face his friend and family after failing, he went back to YG and competed against SO-1 (aka Hyunsung from BEAST/B2ST) to be the final member. In the end, Seungri won and was the last member of BIGBANG to be finalized.
•After the members of BIGBANG were finalized, Yang Hyun Suk gave each of the members pendants. Seungri‘s was a flag with a V on a disc with a ring around it. It means: “A new style of music set on the music industry”.

Although he was noticed for his dance skills, his lack of vocal skills at the time led to his elimination. He was later scouted by the record label YG Entertainment and joined the group Big Bang. Although he was initially cut on the ninth episode of the group's documentary series, he was given another chance to impress YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk and succeeded in becoming a member of Big Bang. Seungri released his first album "VVIP" in 2011.
Seungri is known for his dance skills. In his hometown, Gwangju, he was part of the dance group II Hwa. He has competed against his fellow Big Bang member Taeyang in several dance competitions, as well as against Super Junior's Eunhyuk, TVXQ's Yunho, and Shinee's Taemin. Seungri also choreographed a large portion of Big Bang's dances.
